Episode 7: Hydrogen in the energy and mobility transition
Since the federal government passed a hydrogen strategy that aims to make Germany a pioneer in green hydrogen internationally and the European Commission followed suit with its own strategy, the topic has been hotly debated in public.
Time for us to discuss all aspects of the topic "Hydrogen and Fuel Cells" bundled in one episode. We invited Prof. Markus Hölzle, director of the Center for Solar Energy and Hydrogen Research Baden-Württemberg, to join us. He explains what role hydrogen could play in the energy transition, how green hydrogen can be produced and transported to Germany. He also goes into the advantages and disadvantages of fuel cell cars compared to electric cars and dares to make a prognosis for the use of hydrogen in shipping and air traffic.
